Danny Wayne Ratton, 30, was last seen on August 20, 2005, in Eagle Lake, Florida. He lived on the 300 block of West Assembly Street and told his mother he was going out to get high that day; he left carrying a lunchbox and a backpack and never returned. His mother reported him missing on September 2, 2005, after realizing he had not come back.

Ratton had a history of methamphetamine use and prior drug possession convictions. He worked in construction, had relatives in Georgia and Alabama, and had tattoos on both arms including a skull and a Nazi symbol; he wore an earring in his left ear. Investigators have said his disappearance may be linked to drug-related activity, and rumors that he was murdered have circulated but no solid evidence supporting that has been reported.
