James Kimbrough, 40, was found dead on March 23, 1992, in an alley at 149 MacLee Alley in Franklin County, Columbus, Ohio. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and the death was investigated as a homicide by the Columbus Police Department.

The alley scene produced insufficient evidence to identify suspects, and no witnesses have come forward with actionable information. The case, filed under homicide number 1462, remains an open cold case. Law enforcement and the Ohio Attorney General’s office have repeatedly asked the public for tips to help move the investigation forward.

Anyone with information about James Kimbrough’s death is asked to contact the Columbus Police Department or the channels referenced by investigators.
