On July 20, 2008, 28-year-old Andre Darel Gorsuch was shot and killed in the Emerald Hills neighborhood of San Diego. The shooting occurred about 9:17 p.m. on Bollenbacher Street after Gorsuch and a companion arrived and were standing near his vehicle. A dark-colored SUV pulled up and an occupant fired multiple rounds, striking Gorsuch; his companion was not injured.

Paramedics transported Gorsuch to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The motive for the attack is unclear and no immediate suspects were identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit.
