Miquel Mora, 54, was found dead in Franklin County on October 15, 1990; his death is listed as a homicide and remains unsolved. The Columbus Division of Police and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation have been involved, and the case appears on the Ohio Attorney General’s cold case database. Investigators note the usual difficulties of older cases: evidence deterioration and a lack of witnesses willing to come forward, and periodic reviews have been conducted in hopes that new technologies such as advanced DNA testing might produce leads.
Mora’s homicide is counted among nearly 150 unsolved murders in Columbus since 1980. Authorities continue to urge anyone with information to contact the Columbus Police Department tip line so the case can move toward resolution and the family can obtain closure. Has anyone in the community heard or seen anything that could help investigators?
