Rodney Lee Wagner’s disappearance is marked by conflicting timelines and limited solid detail. Records differ on when he was last heard from: the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System lists March 1, 2001, while the Missouri State Highway Patrol and The Charley Project report he was last seen in Versailles on September 21, 2002. He would have been 43 in 2001 and 45 in 2002.
Rodney is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches, about 180 pounds, with brown shoulder-length hair, blue eyes, scars on his forehead and both arms, and numerous tattoos on his arms and back. He often wore a long mustache or a goatee and used aliases including Rodney Brown, Paul Kleiss, James Edward Wagner, and Rod Wagner. A missing person report was not filed with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office until August 7, 2009. Several felony warrants for his arrest are noted in case information, and the case is classified as endangered missing.
What concrete sightings, contacts, or records exist from 2001–2009 that might help reconcile the differing last-seen dates?
