Diann Tatum, 25, left her Jeffersonville, Ohio, home on October 21, 1988, to visit her mother in Warren, Michigan, and never arrived. Her husband reported her missing when she failed to show up. Her car was later found abandoned at a Cincinnati motel with no record of her checking in.
Skeletal remains found near an abandoned site in Cottrellville Township, Michigan, on August 6, 1994, were not identified as Tatum’s until March 21, 2013, when dental and forensic methods confirmed her identity. That confirmation established that she had been murdered, but the circumstances of her death, the date of death, and the person responsible remain unknown. Local investigators in Ohio and Michigan continue to investigate and seek leads.
If anyone knew Diann, saw her car in October 1988, or has information about her movements between Jeffersonville and Warren, please contact the investigators handling the case.
