Seventeen-year-old Sharon Ward was found dead in a cornfield along the 5100 block of Jacobs Road in Oregon, Ohio, on February 28, 1982. She had suffered blunt force trauma to the head and multiple stab wounds. Sharon had been last seen alive the night before in North Toledo, around 10:30 PM.

The Oregon Police Department and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office continue to investigate her unsolved homicide. The case has been included in multiple cold case efforts over the years, and investigators are still seeking anyone with information that could help bring answers to Sharon’s family and the community.
