Amanda Nicole Campbell, known as Nikki, was four when she vanished from her Fairfield, California, neighborhood on December 27, 1991. That afternoon she rode her bicycle to visit a friend just a few doors away but never arrived. Her bicycle was later found abandoned a few blocks from home and there was no sign of her.
Searchers used bloodhounds that tracked a scent from near Amanda’s home to a McDonald’s drive‑thru and then onto a westbound ramp of Interstate 80. Investigators treated the case as a non‑family abduction and believe she was likely pulled into a vehicle near Larchmont Drive and Salisbury Drive. Over the years several persons of interest were examined, including Timothy Bindner and Curtis Dean Anderson; neither was charged. A 2023 investigation of former pastor David Zandstra led to him being cleared. Amanda has never been located and the disappearance remains unsolved.
Did anyone in Fairfield in late December 1991 see a child on a bicycle or a vehicle behaving oddly near Larchmont Drive and Salisbury Drive?
