Isaac Lee Roberts, 40, rode his motorcycle from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Joseph, Oregon, for Chief Joseph Days in July 2012 and was last seen leaving the Stubborn Mule Bar and Steakhouse at about 1:45 a.m. on July 28 with two men and two women. Accounts after that diverge: one man later told police they ran out of gas near Lewiston, he hitchhiked for fuel and returned to find Roberts gone, saying Roberts intended to hitchhike back to Coeur d’Alene and left his motorcycle and belongings with him. Roberts’ family called that account unlikely because of his lung condition and because he would not have abandoned an expensive Harley-Davidson.

The case was reclassified from missing person to homicide during the investigation. Authorities named at least two people from Union County as persons of interest and believe Roberts may have traveled to Lewiston with one of them; no arrests have been announced. Family and law enforcement strongly suspect foul play, and a reward has been offered for information.

Did anyone in the Joseph or Lewiston area see Roberts that night or notice a Harley-Davidson left unattended along Highway 3?
