On Tuesday afternoon, November 15, 2016, gunfire erupted on the 2100 block of West Indiana Avenue in Philadelphia. Officers found 25-year-old Jerrill Curtis suffering from a gunshot wound to his back; a 58-year-old man was also wounded. Curtis was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition and died there the next day, November 16, 2016. His death was ruled a homicide.

No convictions or sentences have resulted from this case.
