In the early morning hours of August 27, 2015, 24-year-old Darron Birch was found inside his Philadelphia apartment on the 1400 block of Poplar Street with multiple gunshot wounds to his neck and face. Police arrived at about 1:08 a.m.; paramedics pronounced him dead at 1:15 a.m. His family remembered him as a son, brother, uncle and an aspiring entrepreneur who ran his own clothing line, Redi Apparel, and as someone with a contagious, unique laugh.

The killing remains one of Philadelphia’s unsolved homicides from 2015. No information about suspects or arrests has been released, and the case is open.
