Tammie Lynn Wilkinson was 19 when she vanished from Kansas City, Missouri, in the summer of 1984. She was last seen on the morning of June 21, leaving her sister’s home in the 100 block of South Chelsea Street on foot around 9:00 a.m. Her car was at a repair shop and never retrieved. She lived on the 300 block of Bellefontaine Avenue and worked at a department store; she never collected a final paycheck and her savings account was not touched.

At the time she went missing she wore a blouse, blue jeans and white tennis shoes, plus two silver-colored chains and several rings, including a distinctive 1984 Northeast High School yellow gold class ring with an emerald and the initials TLW engraved inside. She had a tattoo of a blue heart pierced by an arrow with the initials KN-TW on her upper right bicep.

A man identified publicly in 1994 as a primary suspect in several linked cases was Gregory W. Breeden; evidence found during a search of his property included women’s clothing, teeth and knives. He was charged in one murder in 1996 but that case was dismissed when a key witness would not testify; he died in 2014. Tammie’s disappearance remains unsolved. Did anyone who knew Tammie, her routines, or her places of work or social life in 1984 have information to share?
