Shawn Davis Sr., a 42-year-old Philadelphia father, was shot multiple times in his car while stopping for gas on May 21, 2012. He had been on his way to pick up his son from St. Joseph’s Preparatory School; a friend riding with him was unharmed. Despite severe wounds, Davis managed to drive about a block before the vehicle flipped. His son, a freshman at the school, waited for hours and, after a family friend took him to Temple University Hospital, briefly saw his father unconscious before being told a few hours later that Davis had died. An obituary for a Shawn Davis from Philadelphia gives a date of death as May 27, 2012.
No suspects or arrests have been publicly identified in connection with the shooting, and the investigation remains unresolved. Does anyone have information about that afternoon or remembers seeing the vehicle or anyone acting suspiciously near the gas station on May 21, 2012?
