Terri Beth Holifield, 44, was last known to be in Dallas, Georgia, on or around May 1, 2006. Family members — who lived mainly in Athens, Georgia, and North Carolina — say she normally stayed in regular contact, so her sudden silence raised immediate concern. There is speculation she may have traveled to the Atlanta area, but the exact date and movements before she vanished are unclear.
Terri was described as a white female, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches, 165 to 196 pounds, with brown or brownish-blonde hair and brown eyes. Distinctive tattoos included an eagle with a rose and the name Ali on her left breast, Noreen with flowers on her right arm, and Shawn on her right inner thigh. Her lifestyle at times involved drugs and prostitution, which investigators have noted put her in vulnerable situations.
The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation. The case has gone cold and remains open; law enforcement asks anyone with information to come forward. Did anyone in Athens, Dallas, or Atlanta know Terri’s movements or connections in spring 2006?
