Deborah Debbie Fortunato Dill, 48, was last seen at her home on Woodbine Drive in Augusta on a late afternoon. Her husband told authorities they had argued and that she warned him If you leave, I won’t be around when you come back. He left and returned to find Deborah gone and several personal items missing. Her cell phone and bank accounts showed no activity after that day.
Her daughter filed the missing person report more than a month after Deborah was last seen. Records show a history of marital problems: at least four domestic violence reports in the year before the disappearance and an allegation Deborah said her husband threatened her life. The husband later moved in with his ex-wife; investigators say he tried to keep that from them. He agreed to a polygraph that was ruled inconclusive amid claims he used countermeasures, and searches on his computer reportedly included terms about human decomposition, police interrogation and defeating polygraphs.
The case was later reclassified as a homicide investigation, but no charges have been filed and Deborah’s body has never been found. Does anyone have information about Deborah, her last known movements, or contacts in Augusta at the time who might help explain what happened?
