Albert Dawson was 24 when he and his brother Anthony were fatally shot outside their grandmother’s South Sacramento home on December 10, 2002. The brothers had just returned from buying cigarettes around midnight; about twenty minutes after they arrived gunshots rang out and their grandmother heard the commotion. Their sister Rishema Brazil arrived to find both brothers already covered by white sheets.

Investigators at the time considered whether the killings might have been gang-related, but no concrete leads or witnesses have been identified and the double homicide remains unsolved. The family has lived with the unanswered questions for over two decades.

If anyone has information about what happened that night or saw activity near that home around midnight on December 10, 2002, please come forward to help the family find closure.
