Dion McIntosh, 27, was fatally shot in the chest around 11 p.m. on a March evening in 2008 on the North Side of Pittsburgh. He and his 20-year-old brother were leaving a local establishment at the corner of Monterey and Jacksonia streets when an unknown individual opened fire. The brother suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound to the arm and was reported in stable condition.
Bystanders tried to transport McIntosh to a hospital, but he died at the scene. Police did not release a suspect description in the immediate aftermath, and the shooter was officially listed as an unknown person. The motive was unclear in the initial investigation and there has been no public identification of a suspect in the years that followed.
If anyone was in that area that night or has information about who opened fire, please share what you know.
