Gina L. Clark was 21 when she disappeared from her Kansas City, Missouri home in the winter of 1991. She was last seen by her mother around 8:30 p.m. on December 1 near Mersington and Cleveland Avenue. At about 11:15 p.m. that night Gina made a collect call to a family member from an unknown location; the call was disconnected before she could say where she was and could not be traced. That was the last confirmed contact.
Gina was known by the nicknames Pickle and Peaches. She is described as a white female, 5 feet 3 inches, about 105 pounds, with brown curly hair and hazel eyes. Distinguishing features include pierced ears and scars on her abdomen, eyebrow, and face. She was reportedly wearing black pants, tennis shoes, and a red jacket marked National Concrete Construction with Pickle on it. Gina had Sydenham’s Chorea and a history of healed fractures.
Just months earlier, on October 7, 1991, she had been a witness to the murder of her former boyfriend; the suspect in that homicide had not been apprehended when she vanished, and some have suggested her disappearance may relate to what she witnessed, though no definitive link has been established. The Kansas City Police Department lists her as an endangered missing person and her DNA is in national missing persons databases. If anyone knew Gina, saw her that night, or has information about where she might have gone, please come forward.
