James Bunk Carver, known as Bunk, was an 82-year-old white man found beaten to death inside his home on James Carver Road in Seneca, South Carolina. His body was discovered on May 13, 2010, and investigators believe the fatal assault occurred sometime between May 11 and May 13. An autopsy determined blunt force trauma to the head was the cause of death.
There were no signs of forced entry, and evidence of a struggle was found in the kitchen while the body was in the bathroom, leading investigators to suspect the attack was personal and that Carver likely knew his assailant. Authorities also considered robbery as a possible motive after something appeared to have been taken from beneath a bed.
Several persons of interest have been identified over the years, but no arrests have been made and the case remains unsolved. If anyone knew James Carver, his movements in May 2010, or has information that could help, please share what is known.
