Joseph Anguiano, known to friends as Quito, was shot and killed outside his home on Hermosa Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga, California, in the early morning of August 4, 1996. The shooting happened at about 4:11 a.m., and no immediate arrests were made, leaving the case cold for many years.
Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department continued to seek leads and urged anyone with information to contact them or provide anonymous tips through WeTip. In 2013 authorities announced an arrest connected to the 1996 homicide, a development that was described as significant for Anguiano’s family and friends.
If anyone remembers activity in the Hermosa Avenue area that night or has information that hasn’t been shared with investigators, please contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department or submit a tip through WeTip.
