On May 15, 2011, 30-year-old Travis Williams was shot on the 2400 block of Linden Avenue in Knoxville and taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he later died. Police were called to the scene that Sunday; the circumstances of the shooting and any motive have not been made public.

Williams’ death remains an open and unsolved homicide. Law enforcement has not publicly identified suspects or announced any arrests in the case. The family and community continue to seek answers about who shot him and why.
