On the afternoon of Wednesday, September 5, 2007, 17-year-old Demarius Lacey was shot and killed inside a home at 1404 Pennock Avenue in Nashville, Tennessee. Witnesses say an unknown man entered through the front door shortly after 3:00 p.m., walked into the living room, scanned the room, and opened fire on Demarius, striking him multiple times. The shooter then fled, getting into the passenger side of a vehicle described as a newer model black Chevrolet Impala with tinted windows parked in an alley behind the residence.

The assailant has been described as a light-complexioned Black male, between 18 and 12 years old with a slim build and braided hair to mid-neck. Several people were inside the home and witnessed the attack, yet the case has remained unsolved. No arrests or publicly identified suspects have been announced, and the Nashville Police Department’s Cold Case Homicide Unit is asking anyone with information to come forward.

If anyone knew Demarius, was in that neighborhood that afternoon, or has information about the shooter or the described vehicle, please share what is known with investigators.
