Gilbert Marc Grimm was 38 when he was found shot to death in his home at 4507 Upchurch Road in Knoxville. His body was discovered on May 2, 2005, and law enforcement concluded he had been fatally shot inside the residence.

The investigation began immediately but stalled; detectives did not publicly identify suspects or make arrests, and the case went cold. The Knoxville Police Department has kept the homicide open and has periodically revisited the evidence, but no charges have been filed and the killing remains unsolved.

Family and neighbors were left without answers after the shooting and continue to await justice. If anyone has information about Gilbert Grimm or that neighborhood in spring 2005, please come forward.
