Paul Eugene Bonney was 35 when he was found murdered on August 3, 1999, in a homeless camp behind 3223 Chapman Highway in Knoxville, Tennessee. Investigators determined he had been beaten to death.

The case grew cold over the years. The Knoxville Police Department and its Cold Case Unit have not publicly identified any suspects, and no arrests have been announced. Officials say the investigation has been hampered by a lack of leads, leaving Bonney’s family without resolution.

Anyone who was in the Chapman Highway area in late July or early August 1999, or who has information about Bonney and the people who frequented that camp, is asked to come forward.
