On January 24, 1998, in Knoxville, Tennessee, 22-year-old Phillip Delantia Wilkerson Jr. was shot and killed near the Club Royal at 2111 McCalla Avenue. He was with another man, Emanuel Oliver Wykle, who was also killed in the same incident.

The Knoxville Police Department investigated the double homicide but the trail grew cold. As of this writing the case is unsolved: no arrests have been announced and no suspects have been publicly identified. The families of both victims continue to seek answers about what happened that night.
