Morris Nunn, 57, was killed in Houston, Texas, in July 2017. His death occurred during a year when the city was wrestling with a string of violent incidents — a mix of random violence, gang-related incidents, domestic conflicts, shootings, stabbings and home invasions — that kept public safety a major concern despite an overall drop in homicides through July (136 in 2017 versus 171 in 2016).
Details about the circumstances of Nunn’s killing are limited and his case did not attract the same level of media attention as some of the more shocking multi-victim or particularly brutal incidents that year. Houston Police and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were among the agencies involved in responding to and investigating homicides across the city during that period.
Did anyone in Houston in July 2017 have information about Morris Nunn or his movements before he was killed?
