Brenda Duharte was 23 when she was found strangled on July 24, 1982, in the laundry room of her apartment complex on the 300 block of 88th Street in Daly City, California. She had gone downstairs to move her laundry from the washer to the dryer and never returned; her death was discovered shortly thereafter and was described as an unplanned attack.

At the time Brenda worked for Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco and lived with her young daughter. The murder shocked the local community and, despite investigative efforts, remained unsolved with limited leads cited over the years.

Anyone who lived in that complex or the neighborhood at the time, or who may have seen Brenda on the afternoon of July 24, 1982, is asked to come forward with information that might help identify her killer.
