Eddie Gaderson, 30, was killed in a drive-by shooting on February 22, 2016, in front of AM Mimi Mart on Cullen Boulevard in Houston. Surveillance video showed a gray BMW X series SUV, possibly with paper tags, from which a shot was fired that struck Gaderson; he died at the scene. The shooting occurred inside the area covered by a Harris County gang injunction that previously named Gaderson and others as prohibited from parts of the neighborhood.

Authorities identified a suspect as Keith Gaderson, who fled after the shooting and was later charged in connection with the murder. He was also wanted on separate alleged offenses including domestic violence and possession of a firearm as a felon. The Houston Police Department released the video and asked the public for help; the investigation remains ongoing.
