Gelvin Martinez, 48, was found dead in Houston, Texas, on January 12, 2015. The Houston Police Department treated his death as a homicide and the Homicide Division processed the scene and followed up on leads as part of their investigation.

Martinez’s killing occurred during a sharp rise in homicides in Houston early in 2015; authorities reported a 46% increase in murders compared with previous years and multiple high-profile cases that strained local resources. Crime Stoppers of Houston assisted by offering up to a $5,000 reward and working with police to raise public awareness, but investigators faced difficulties in developing actionable leads and the case remained unsolved for some time.

Does anyone who knew Gelvin Martinez or who was in that part of Houston in January 2015 have information that could help investigators?
