Demetrio Vasquez-Garcia, 50, was stabbed on the evening of August 10, 2013, at about 9:50 p.m. at 9018 Beechnut Street in Houston. He was found critically injured and taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, where he died of his wounds on August 12.

Investigators say the attacker was identified as Julio Cesar Reyes-Gallegos, who allegedly fled the scene immediately after the dispute that led to the stabbing. The Houston Police Department Homicide Division obtained an arrest warrant and began searching for Reyes-Gallegos while following leads and asking for public help.
