Eddie Thomas, 43, was shot and killed in a southeast Houston parking lot on November 29, 2012. Witnesses reported a confrontation between Thomas and another individual that led to at least one gunshot. After being struck, Thomas tried to get help but died before he could be taken to a hospital.

Houston Police Department homicide detectives responded; Lieutenant Larry Crowson said officers found Thomas in critical condition. A large crowd was on scene but many potential witnesses were reluctant to cooperate because of fear of retaliation. The investigation remains open; despite work by HPD’s Homicide Division and the Cold Case Squad, leads have been limited and no arrests have been announced.

Anyone with information that could help solve this homicide is asked to contact HPD or Crime Stoppers.
