On August 8, 2012, 30-year-old Robert Harris was found fatally shot on a sidewalk near the 5000 block of Enyart Street in Houston. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division opened an investigation, canvassed the area, interviewed potential witnesses and reviewed nearby surveillance footage, but no immediate suspects were identified and leads were scarce.
The motive remained unclear, with investigators considering possibilities from personal disputes to random violence. The case grew cold as witness cooperation and evidence proved limited; Crime Stoppers offered a reward and the department continued to appeal to the public. Harris’s family and friends have been seeking justice and closure. If anyone has information about what happened that night or remembers seeing anything near Enyart Street on August 8, 2012, please come forward.
