David Washington, 41, was shot multiple times and killed on April 21, 2012, on the north side of Houston. The shooting happened late in the evening while he was in his neighborhood. Witnesses heard several gunshots and then saw a man run from the scene. Responding police and emergency services pronounced David dead at the scene.
The Houston Police Department Homicide Division opened an investigation but initially turned up few leads. Witnesses described the suspect as a Black male in his mid-20s, and Crime Stoppers of Houston offered a reward for information that could lead to an arrest. No arrests had been made and the case was later added to the city’s Cold Case Squad list, which continues to seek tips and emphasizes anonymity through Crime Stoppers.
David’s family remains without answers about his killing. If anyone has information about the shooting or recognizes the description of the suspect, please contact Crime Stoppers or the Houston Police Homicide Division.
