Felipe Villamar, 34, was shot and killed on May 25, 2010, in Houston near the South Belt‑Ellington area. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found Villamar suffering from a gunshot wound close to his residence; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division opened the investigation and pursued leads, but early on there was little information about motive or the identity of the shooter or shooters.
His case has remained an unresolved homicide in Houston. The Homicide Division and the Cold Case Squad have periodically reviewed the investigation and the department has appealed to the public for any information that could help identify suspects and bring closure to Villamar’s family. If anyone knew Felipe, was in the South Belt‑Ellington area that morning, or has information about this shooting, please come forward.
