Raymundo Salazar, 82, was found dead at his San Antonio residence on December 19, 2009. Investigators determined his death was a homicide after evidence at the scene suggested a violent struggle, but there were few immediate clues to identify a suspect and no willing witnesses came forward.

The San Antonio Police Department handled the original investigation; as leads dwindled the case moved into cold status and has been periodically reviewed by the Cold Case Unit and a Cold Case Review Team of forensic experts and officers. Those teams continue to re-examine the file in hopes that new technology or witness information will produce leads. Law enforcement asks anyone with information to contact the SAPD Cold Case Tip Line.

Are there readers who knew Raymundo or who have information that could help the investigation?
