Randall Lee Ward, 48, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds on March 1, 2009, in Houston, Texas. Officers responding to a report of a shooting in a residential neighborhood pronounced him dead at the scene. Witnesses said they heard shots and saw people fleeing the area shortly afterward, but no arrests were made at the time.

The Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division led the investigation, and later the Cold Case Squad kept the inquiry open. Progress was limited by sparse witness cooperation and a lack of strong leads. Authorities offered a reward through Crime Stoppers and appealed for public tips, but the case remains unsolved.
