Floyd Washington, 50, was found dead on February 20, 2008, inside his apartment at 10110 Forum Park Drive in Houston, Texas. He had suffered apparent stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Houston Police Department Homicide Division opened an investigation and is treating the death as a homicide.

Investigators reported no sign of forced entry at the apartment, which prompted the belief that Washington may have known his assailant. No suspects were immediately identified and police continued to appeal to the public for information.
