Allison Anne Craven was 12 when she was reported missing from her Houston apartment on November 9, 1971. Her mother had left briefly for errands; when she returned Allison was gone. The family lived near Interstate 45, an area later linked to multiple disappearances and killings.
Partial remains — two hands, arm bones and some teeth — were found in a nearby field in early February 1972. The remainder of her skeleton was recovered on February 25, 1972, in a rural area near Pearland, about 10 miles from where she was last seen. The remains being located in separate places extended the family’s anguish and left many questions about what happened and who was responsible.
Did anyone who lived or worked near I-45 in 1971-72 ever notice a stranger or suspicious activity around Allison’s neighborhood?
