Vu Huynh was shot and killed on the night of March 23, 1997, in the parking lot of Hi Cue Billiards on South George Mason Drive in Arlington, Virginia. Authorities describe a single suspect in the killing: an Asian male seen wearing all black that night. Investigators have suggested possible gang ties, naming the Laos Bloods or the Dragon Fly gang as possibilities.
The firearm identified in the attack was a Smith and Wesson Model 67, a .38 Special double-action revolver. Despite the suspect description and the make of the weapon, no arrests have been announced and the case remains unsolved and classified as a cold case.
Anyone with information about Vu Huynh’s death or who recognizes the described suspect or weapon is asked to contact the Arlington County Police Department.
