Arturo Carlos-Carrillo, a 50-year-old man from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was killed in a drive-by shooting on March 6, 2011. He was riding in a truck with two others, Adrian and Pablo, when a gray Honda pulled alongside. Someone in the Honda shouted what’s up, Carlos-Carrillo responded, and witnesses reported five to six shots fired from the Honda.

Carlos-Carrillo sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his lower left body. An autopsy by Dr. Eugene Carpenter of the Kern County Sheriff’s Office found six gunshot wounds consistent with a large caliber handgun; he died at the scene. Officer Christopher Alfors arrived to find him struggling to breathe and unable to respond. Surveillance footage from nearby homes captured muzzle flashes from the passenger side of the suspect vehicle.

The shooting prompted an intensive local investigation. If anyone has information about the gray Honda, the people inside it, or the moments before the shooting, please share what is known.
