Fifteen-year-old Jessica Caudill was found dead in a ravine off Highway 58 on North Table Mountain in Jefferson County, Colorado. Hikers discovered her body on April 14, 1990; investigators determined she had been dead several days and that the cause of death was strangulation. Her body was found nude.
Jessica was a runaway from Georgia who hitchhiked widely and used the names Night Child and Angel Heart. She was often seen wearing a denim jacket with brown leather fringe and spending time at truck stops; she is believed to have been seen at the Union 76 Truck Stop at West 44th Avenue and Ward Road in Wheat Ridge before her death. Law enforcement has not identified suspects or made arrests, and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office lists the case as a cold case.
Are there any witnesses who saw Jessica in the Denver area in the weeks before April 14, 1990, or anyone with information about the people she accepted rides from?
