On the evening of March 10, 1988, 47-year-old John William Bill Cliborn was found bludgeoned to death in his office at Inverness Business Park in Centennial, Colorado. A co-owner of LAN Resources and a former security guard and reserve officer with the Littleton Police Department, Cliborn was discovered after 6:00 p.m. by two project managers returning to the office.

Investigators with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office say nothing in the office appeared stolen or disturbed, and evidence at the scene suggested the killer likely knew Cliborn personally. The initial investigation did not produce an arrest, and the homicide remains an unsolved cold case.

If anyone has information about who might have known or had contact with Cliborn around March 10, 1988, please contact the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office with what you know.
