Jack Levine, 24, disappeared on the morning of Saturday, March 15, 2025, while diving about two miles off Pompano Beach, Florida. He was last seen wearing a black wetsuit and failed to resurface; diving companions alerted authorities immediately.
An extensive U.S. Coast Guard search followed, using air and surface assets from the Seventh District. Small boat crews from Stations Fort Lauderdale and Lake Worth Inlet and an aircrew from Air Station Miami took part, and the Coast Guard Cutter Flying Fish led overnight operations. Partner agencies including the Broward Sheriff’s Office joined Sector Miami crews at first light. The search covered roughly 1,470 square miles before being suspended Sunday evening, March 16, pending new information.
Friends described Levine as an adventurous diver who loved travel and helping novice snorkelers and divers. His family and community have asked the public for any possible sightings or tips. If anyone has information about his disappearance, contact Coast Guard Sector Miami at 535-4472.
