On Thursday afternoon, November 21, 2019, Jekeria Jaquay Osborn was found fatally shot in Bessemer, Alabama. She was in a dark blue Chevrolet Malibu with a male companion, Dandre Paige, who also died of gunshot wounds. The vehicle had come to a stop near the intersection of Alabama Adventure Parkway and the on-ramp for Interstate 20/59 around 4:30 p.m., and officers responding to a person-shot call discovered both victims; Ms. Osborn was unresponsive in the roadway, having fallen out of the driver’s side, while Mr. Paige remained in the front passenger seat. Witnesses described the car slowly creeping forward before Ms. Osborn fell out, and one witness saw a small, dark sedan leave the area heading southbound on Alabama Adventure Parkway, though no one reported seeing the shooting itself.

Bessemer Police collected physical evidence and interviewed witnesses, family members, and neighbors, but the investigation stalled and the double homicide remains unsolved. A public appeal and a $10,000 reward were later offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. If anyone has information about Jekeria Osborn or Dandre Paige, or remembers seeing a small dark sedan in that area on the afternoon of November 21, 2019, please come forward.
