Tre’Vion Alexander Marks was 21 when he was shot dead in Fairfield, Alabama, on the evening of April 3, 2019. Police and fire medics responding to a 911 call found Marks in the passenger seat of a wrecked car on Tensaw Court; another 21-year-old, Deshawn Ferrez Jackson, was in the driver’s seat. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene and authorities opened a double homicide investigation.
Investigators reported the vehicle had sustained damage and that evidence of a shooting was present. Fairfield detectives said they believed the killings of Marks and Jackson were connected to a March 15, 2019 homicide nearby, and that law enforcement’s prevailing theory linked all three deaths to illegal drug activity. Detectives also said they thought there were likely witnesses to daytime shootings in the populated area, but the case remains unsolved.
No arrests or suspects have been publicly identified, and Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama has offered a potential cash reward for information leading to an arrest. If anyone has information about the shootings of Tre’Vion Marks or Deshawn Jackson, please come forward to Fairfield police or Crime Stoppers.
