On the evening of December 3, 2020, 20-year-old Makiel Daveon Norwood and 19-year-old Ti’Teauna Antunya Riggs were found shot to death in Midfield, Alabama, in what authorities described as a double homicide. Riggs was discovered unresponsive inside a Dodge Charger while Norwood’s body was located in a nearby wooded area. Investigators treated the two deaths as connected and worked between two related scenes.
Midfield Police Chief Jesse Bell said detectives were interviewing the driver of the car in which Riggs was a passenger; police believed that driver left the scene because they feared for their own safety. No arrests were announced at the time of this report and few details about the motive or sequence of events have been released.
If anyone saw activity in the area of the Dodge Charger or the nearby woods on December 3, 2020, or has information that could help the investigation, please come forward.
