Tyran Lamont Spigner, 49, was one of two people found dead after a house fire at 2015 Lay Dam Road in Clanton, Alabama, in the early hours of September 20, 2022. Fire crews and police responded around 1:15 a.m.; once flames were suppressed, two bodies were discovered and DNA testing was needed to confirm the victims’ identities. The second victim was later identified as Tiffany Nicole Browning, 33.

Investigators concluded the fire was deliberately set and that the blaze had been used to conceal the killings, converting the inquiry into a double homicide and arson investigation. Local, state, and federal agencies were reported to be involved, and Central Alabama CrimeStoppers offered a $1,000 reward for information. No suspect or arrest was publicly identified and officials were withholding additional details as the investigation continued.
