Kentrel was a child. How do you kill a child? Having 3 people in masks kill this child makes absolutely no sense.

Kentrel Jah’mar Miller was 16 when he was fatally shot outside the Western Hills Mall in Fairfield, Alabama, on the afternoon of June 16, 2023. Family and friends remembered him as a silly, funny, and respectful student at Charles F. Hard Elementary School.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported that three masked assailants approached Miller, opened fire, then fled in a dark-colored car. Authorities say they are investigating the homicide but have not released a motive, identified any suspects, or announced arrests.

Anyone who was in the area that afternoon or who has information about the shooting or the vehicle seen fleeing is asked to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
