Bryan Gary Wood, 41, of Birmingham, was killed in a hit-and-run on March 10, 2023, while walking on the shoulder of West Boulevard near 87th Street North in the North East Lake area. A vehicle attempting to pass another car struck him, then continued on until it crashed into a house. First responders pronounced Wood dead at the scene.

Two people reportedly exited the vehicle after the crash and fled on foot; no driver or suspects were publicly identified and no arrest had been announced. Few investigative outcomes have been disclosed, leaving key questions about who fled the scene and why.

Did anyone in the neighborhood see the vehicle before or after the crash, or recognize the two people who ran from the wreck?
