Sarah Catherine Miller-Klingener, 47, of Wasilla, Alaska, was found dead on February 18, 2019, at a residence near Bogard Road. She had been in Alaska to help settle her father’s estate and was discovered by her daughter that Monday. Alaska State Troopers responded that night and located two people deceased on the property: Miller-Klingener and 57-year-old Shawn McVey, also of Wasilla.

Investigators determined within a week that the deaths were a murder-suicide. Troopers concluded Miller-Klingener died by homicide and that McVey died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and officials said no other individuals were involved. With the person identified as responsible deceased, there were no arrests.
